The Blue Moon Cricket color is signature of Midwest Wilderness Expeditions. Here's the story behind this fish catching color:
My uncle Steve introduced me to Great Lakes fishing in my early teens. The man lived for fishing! We would usually come back to the launch with a big cooler that wouldn't even close it was so full of fish. From spring Browns, to fall Coho, we were always fishing.
It never failed, at the fish cleaning station someone would always ask what we caught all those fish on. Uncle Steves answer never changed. He always said "Blue Moon Cricket", which was just a name he made up. He never gave up his secrets very easily.
Over the years we heard a lot of different responses to Uncle Steve telling people we caught them on this imaginary lure. Most guys claimed to have heard of it but never tried it. Some would say they were going to have to buy some of them. One time a guy even said, "we caught several on that last week".
So now, in tribute to one of the many spokes in the wheel that brought me to working in the outdoor industry.....we bring you "Blue Moon Cricket".
RIP Uncle Steve.
